REAL MEN

I will be starting this week with my great men but note that this article is not to ‘hurt’ anyone but to see many youths change their thought(s) about some salient important things so that we can have a better nation or society blossoming in God. Is being a man all about the swags, muscle or the so called 6 packs, ego and so on, who then is a real man?

Let’s start with this; not all women are for you to go beyond platonic friendship, you need to know when to apply brakes. Some men are in the habit of wanting to have a so called love relationship with virtually all the ladies they meet or even know. Saying it the way it is; they see almost all ladies as potential lover! It shouldn’t be like that, I feel embarrassed when I see men who are in this category because to me it reduces them I’m sorry. Stop going to church or to other religious gathering with the sole reason to ‘get’ a lady, switch off your "lady searching Wi-Fi" when you get there and be focused.

Another thing is pride, the ego that probably comes with ‘I am a man’, being a male does not make you a man, a real man is the one who sees himself the way he sees others with total reference to God. Over the years, I’ve seen men who needs to be counseled but will not want it because it is coming from a woman, they feel what can she offer? There are even some that when they eventually leave their shell to approach the lady, they will want to know to the last details about the lady or woman before asking for advice or counsel. It is not about gender, it about the anointing or calling on the person which is the God in that person, when you don’t see that; you cannot get the best from such person.

Respect; I personally regard men who regard others (both their fellow man and women). There are no boundaries or classes that defined a group of people that deserves to be respected. ‘Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honour giving preference to one another’ (Rom. 12:10). It is not a crime to greet or exchange pleasantries with someone before other discussion, this act creates an atmosphere of friendly discussion.

Flirting with ladies, drinking, indecent dressings and all that does not make you a man as some profess; faithfulness, decency is a virtue, get it! If you want a taste of what a real man is, be connected to God genuinely, get a hold on your emotion, control your erection, fear God, be prayerful, stand out, stand for the truth no matter the pressure and most importantly follow His timing for your life.

By nature, God made you a leader, it is now left for you to remain there or drop down, be a real man!
